I was tasked with the responsibility of redesigning both kiesproduct.nl and css.kiesproduct.nl, two essential components of our online platform. This project demanded a meticulous approach to enhance user experience and ensure a seamless visual appeal. Through careful analysis and collaboration with our development team, I led the effort to revamp these websites, focusing on optimizing user interface design, improving responsiveness, and refining the overall user journey. This endeavor allowed us to provide our users with a more engaging and user-friendly online experience, ultimately leading to increased user satisfaction and better retention rates.

In addition to redesigning kiesproduct.nl and css.kiesproduct.nl, I also played a pivotal role in enhancing our overall branding efforts. This involved crafting a cohesive visual identity and creating various marketing collateral, such as infographics for email campaigns and other promotional materials. These documents not only conveyed our brand’s message effectively but also provided our users with valuable information in a visually appealing manner. This holistic approach to branding and content creation allowed us to maintain a consistent and professional image across all our online and offline communication channels, ensuring that our audience received a compelling and informative experience.

Background

Kiesproduct was established in 2017 in the Netherlands as one of the first CSSs to be part of Google’s CSS Partner Program. Kiesproduct was already a shopping portal since 2013-2014, so before the creation of this programme. 

It was created by two high-school friends who “were just intrigued by online marketing”. In 2015 they decided to go international. In order to do this, they chose the name Shoparize. This way, they started in the German, Austrian and Swiss markets. A couple of years later, when the whole market was disrupted because of the introduction of the Google CSS programme, they added CSS to their business. 

Today Shoparize/Kiesproduct is active in the 21 countries of the EEA and it is one of the oldest and most experienced players in the CSS field, helping more than 5,000 merchants to participate in all different European markets, to maximize their Shopping ads potential and to improve their business results.

MY CHALLENGE

CREATION OF THE wEBSHOP

I was tasked with creating a new UX/UI design for the website kiesproduct.nl, a project that involved a comprehensive approach to enhance the user experience. To begin, I conducted extensive research to understand the user base and their preferences, gathering valuable insights. This research served as the foundation for my design decisions, focusing on improving navigation, accessibility, and responsiveness across different devices. I also paid close attention to visual aesthetics, aligning the design with the brand’s identity. Through continuous feedback, usability testing, and iterative refinements, the end result was a revamped website that provided an improved and engaging user experience.
